Kia Ora Whanau and friends,
Welcome to the 2017 school year in Room 13. This year your child's teachers are Debbie Dawson and Nicky Meyer. Debbie will be teaching the first learning block from 8.45am-10.40am. This time will consist of the following learning areas: Writing, Spelling, Jolly Phonics (letter and their associated sounds), Handwriting and fitness.
For the remainder of the day Whaea Nicky will be covering: Reading, Numeracy, PE, Art and Moari.
This term we begin with our HERO Value of "O" for Organised. What does this look like?
Being ready on time to start school (8.45am- 2.30pm)
Bringing your book bag and reader back to school every day
Bring your togs and towel for daily swimming lessons
Whanau please talk with your child and help set them up for success by doing the above. Eventually they will learn to take ownership of these independently.
Please use this website to help keep you up to date about what we are learning, how we may help, and also what is happening around the school from one term to the next.
As we begin to settle into routines it is important your child is at school everyday and on time to maxamise their learning.
Any questions or queries we are more than happy chat with you before school or after school by arrangement.
We encourage you to take an active part in your child's learning. Talk to your child and ask them about what they are learning.
