Our Team Leader for the Middle Syndicate is Whaea Riss Randall (Room 7)
Stationary: Thank you to all those "O" for organised parents who have purchased stationary. This is important so we can begin our learning straight away. Please see our wonderful receptionist Debbie who will be able to sort out your children's stationary requirements for the Middle School Syndicate.
Readers: Your child will bring home a reading book each night. Please listen to, and encourage them while reading. Also make sure your child is "O" for organised and returns them to school each day. These books can become costly if lost or misplaced frequently. At around $9.00 per book this soon adds up. So lets all do our part in making sure they are returned so others can use them.
Sunsmart: We are a sun smart school. Hats are compulsary for Terms 1 and 4. These can be purchased from our school office. NO HAT, NO PLAY. Children will be required to remain under our shade structure during all break times.
Swimming: Swimming has commenced. Children will be swimming daily. Our Middle school team swim during the middle block. Times range from 10.40-12.15pm. Please encourage your children to be organised and have their swimming gear at school each day. Swimming is an important part of learning and developing new skills and confidence in the water. Your child will expected to swim unless a phone call or note is passed on to explain why not.
Concept: Our inquiry this term will focus around "Uniqueness" What does this mean? Who are we and where do we come from?
HERO: Our HERO focus this term will be "R" for Resilience. Ask your child what this means.
Want to see me? I encourage you to come in and see our classroom. I am available from 8am in the mornings before school, and after school from 2.45pm if you want any information or have any queries relating to your child. I am more than happy to sit down and discuss any issues with you. So don't be shy.... pop in and see us. Our door is always open to you and your whanau.
